Overview

there is so many distros that its hard to choose!

here we will go over whats right for you.

if your into gaming, i'd choose from:

• Bazzite (Fedora based, comes pre-installed with steam, and is a good choice)
• CachyOS (Arch based, has HEAVY optimizations for gamers, and is a good choice all round, i use this personally on my systems)

if you just wanna get off windows:

• Linux Mint (Good for people who are just coming from windows, and don't really know linux)

Honorable Mentions:

• Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE instead of gnome)
• Manjaro (Arch based, and is sort of having a comeback after many years)

Personal pick

• CachyOS. its great for gaming (OOTB), its great for getting into the world of linux if you are just starting out (not as much as mint, but still great all-round) and probably has the best defaults ive seen in a while when it comes to distros.
